Warbler Sunrise
These tiny little birds flit about the black hawthorn bushes and almond trees. This female stayed with us for weeks stripping the bushes of their berries. I was going to use the berries as a paint, but her need was greater than mine.
Watercolour paints onto tea bag paper, a hot sunrise in early summer, it’s going to be a scorcher today.
The raw edges of the silk and felted wool frame remind us of a perfectly imperfect life. The twisted wood of a dried thyme plant it’s transcience.
Enjoy it while you can little one, don’t worry she tweets, I do.
